Short answer: Standard costs £100 a month more and removes Lite’s tightest limit, report credits. Lite gives each user 1,000 a month; Standard is unlimited. Pick Lite if

You look after one to five sites, work alone or with one or two others, and can work within 1,000 report credits a month and 6 months of history.

Pick Standard if

You do SEO for clients, run out of credits on Lite, need Content Explorer or Batch Analysis, or want to compare this year with last.

Ahrefs pitches Lite at "small businesses and personal projects". Its tightest limit is 1,000 report credits per user a month. If you need backlink data, Lite is the lowest-priced of Ahrefs’ three main plans. If you only need to know what to fix on your own site, it is more tool than you need.

Does Ahrefs do local SEO?

Partly. Its Rank Tracker tracks positions from country to city to ZIP code and records the local pack, and GBP Monitor (in beta on all paid plans) alerts you to changes on your Google Business Profile. Does Ahrefs have a free trial?

Asked about free trials, Ahrefs’ pricing FAQ says it never runs discounts and points website owners to Ahrefs Free. It also says it does not issue refunds in general. RnkRocket has a 14-day free trial with no card; trial users get a limited number of AI fixes.
